Hope Housing is governed by a Board of Trustees who are drawn from the churches within the Deanery
The current members of the Board of Trustees are:
The Reverend Mark Carey (Chair)
The Reverend Canon Mark Carey has been a trustee, as part of the Bridlington Deanery Leadership Team, since Hope Housing began. He is now Chair of Hope Housing.
He is Vicar of Christ Church with Bessingby and Ulrome. Previously he was Pioneer leader of Kairos Network Church in Harrogate and has also had parish posts in Sheffield and Wakefield.
The Reverend Jean Fowler (Treasurer)
Jean is a Parish Deacon at the Priory Church, Bridlington. Choosing to stay as a Distinctive Deacon and to concentrate on a Pastoral Care Ministry. She has been a Trustee since Hope Housing began.
The Reverend Richard Hare (Project Lead)
Richard is Vicar of Emmanuel Church, Bridlington and has been a trustee since Hope Housing was started. Before moving to the seaside he was a vicar in Coventry and then North Warwickshire.
Mrs Heather Bingley
Heather is a Licensed Lay Minister serving in the 8 parish rural Benefice west of Bridlington where she lives. She is also Lay Dean of Bridlington Deanery and has been a Trustee of Hope Housing Bridlington since its inception.
The Reverend Neil Bowler
Neil is the Priest in charge at Bridlington Priory and has been a Trustee since September 2023. His previous parishes were in the Oxford and Sheffield Dioceses. Before ordination he was a lawyer for 10 years.
Dr Anthony Clarke
Anthony is a retired General Medical Practitioner and has been a Trustee since November 2021. He moved from Oxford to work as a GP in Bridlington in 1996.
Anne Hinchliffe
Anne has been a Trustee since November 2022.
The Reverend Danny Walker (Vice-Chair)
Danny is a retired Vicar and has been a Trustee since November 2022. His previous parishes were in Leeds and York Dioceses. He lives in Bridlington.
